Our commitment
Ear Magic is committed to making earmagic.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build with accessibility in mind from the start, and we work to continuously improve the experience.
Standards we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the recognized international standard. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive.
Features in place
- Semantic structure — proper landmarks (header, main, nav, footer), heading hierarchy, and lists so assistive technology can navigate the page.
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard. A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Visible focus — focus states are clearly visible with an accent-colored outline.
- Image alt text — meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as such.
- Color contrast — body text on background meets or exceeds WCAG AA (4.5:1) and most large text meets AAA (7:1).
- Form labels — every form field has a visible, programmatic label.
- Responsive layout — content adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion — animations are disabled for users who set
prefers-reduced-motion: reducein their system preferences.
Known limitations
We're aware that accessibility is an ongoing effort. As of the last-updated date above, the following are known areas we're still improving:
- Some animation timings could be further softened for users with vestibular sensitivities.
- Cart and checkout flows will be re-tested with screen readers after the upcoming Stripe integration.

Email hello@earmagic.com with a brief description of the issue, the page URL, and the assistive technology or device you're using. We'll respond within five business days.
