Our commitment

Ear Magic wants ear-magic.com to work for everyone, including people with disabilities. We build with accessibility in mind from the start and keep testing and improving the site as it changes.

Standard we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the recognized international standard for accessible web content. It covers the needs of people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

How we test

We check every page with automated testing (axe-core, the engine behind many accessibility audits) and by hand: keyboard-only navigation, visible focus, zoom and reflow down to a 320-pixel-wide screen, adjustable text spacing, color contrast, and reduced-motion settings. The most recent full review was on October 8, 2026.

What's in place

• Structure: landmarks, a logical heading order, and descriptive page titles, so assistive technology can move around each page.
• Keyboard access: every control, including the menu, cart, FAQ, and form fields, works with a keyboard. A "Skip to main content" link comes first on every page, and focused items aren't hidden behind the sticky header or bar.
• Visible focus: the element you're on is always clearly outlined.
• Text alternatives: meaningful images have descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• Color contrast: text meets WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text), and form fields have borders you can see.
• Forms: every field has a visible label, and required fields are identified.
• Responsive layout: pages work on phones, tablets, and desktops, and at up to 400% zoom, without sideways scrolling.
• Motion: animations are short, and they're turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.

Known limitations

• The contact form and newsletter signup aren't connected yet. Please email us instead (address below).
• Checkout isn't available yet. We'll test it with screen readers before it launches.

Email hello@ear-magic.com with the page address, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to reply within five business days, and we'll help you get what you need in the meantime.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge; on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android; and with screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack.
